In the winter of 1946, Lianshui city of North Su was full of smoke of gunpowder and firelight. The fighters in communist army like Shen Zhenxin and Ding Yuanjibu fought tenaciously against the aggressive trump card army of Kuomintang ---the 714 Army and beat them considerably. After that, in order to assort the need of the whole war situation, they left the Northern Jiangsu Anti-Japanese Democratic Base Area and withdrew towards north under the order with sorrow as well as the determination of fighting against the 714 army again.
